The one zen-like time of the day in my life

Every night I promise to lay in bed with Dear 5 yr old Daughter, and Dear 3 yr old son until they fall asleep. So each night after some arguing and tussling, there is a little discussion of the days events, followed by silence, then some fidgeting, and then stillness...both sleeping!

Then I have this enormous feeling of peace that comes over me. Both kids slowly and steadily breathing. Their little bodies snuggled against me, one on each side. I feel harmonious, like all is right in the world...

Shhhh...please don't ruin it by asking what the mornings are like!

I was thinking about you tonight, and wondered where you went!

And that sounds perfectly content.

The nights are so special. They are way more calmer than the mornings.

I guess I am a bad mami...I put one in her crib the other one in her bed lay in the middle of the floor read a book, a prayer and then bye bye to each of them.

Yes those moments are nice, today I woke up to Fiona telling me Johnny's diaper was so wet that he sat on the couch and made a big wet spot! So there I was scrubbing in my robe seconds after dreaming! PS, I could have gone on and on about mom, but I did not want to make her mad!

Yea..it's so peaceful when they are sound asleep. They look so little and innocent. And I think I know what your mornings are like...
;) I have those too.

All children are much cuter when asleep. So sweet...but, they always wake up!!! LOL. I hope your morning was equally peaceful.

and, i saw a cute magnet once that had a picture of two kids sleeping and a tag line that read something like "if only i could think of them as peacefully sleeping, instead of recharging".

I am not a snuggle in the bed mommy. I clock out at 7:00 pm, unfortunately for my children, my husband is rarely home by 7:00 pm. (psst. don't call CPS on me.)

We do the same thing! There is nothing like cuddling with them. Mornings? Yikes.
